Who this is for
Exporters and food & beverage producers selling into Korea, or deciding whether to. The practical question is never “is there demand” — it is which Korean companies already buy this category, how often, and who currently supplies them. That is a list of named importers, and it is what this is built to produce.
Overseas manufacturers checking how their own products reach Korea, which importers carry them, and which competing manufacturers appear against the same item types. Because the records name the overseas manufacturer as well as the Korean importer, you can see both ends of the trade.
Market intelligence professionals — analysts, trade consultants, distributors and industry bodies — tracking category volumes, origin share and how quickly buyers switch between source countries. Shipment-level records make it possible to answer that with counts rather than estimates.
What this is
South Korea publishes a record of the food, beverage and nutraceutical products that enter the country. It is comprehensive and it is public — and it is in Korean, spread across monthly files, with company names written in a script most buyers outside Korea cannot read.
We compile those records, translate and romanise them, and make them searchable in English. The result answers questions that are otherwise very hard to answer: who actually imports a product into Korea, how often, from which country, and which overseas manufacturer supplies them.
Where the data comes from
The trade data in our database relates to companies and commercial shipments and is compiled from official Korean trade records. We do not estimate, model or survey. Every figure on the site traces back to a filed record.
English company and product names are translated or romanised, and that process is imperfect — the same company is often filed under several spellings. The Korean record is always the authoritative one, and we show it alongside the English. If something looks wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
What it covers
More than 950,000 shipment records, updated monthly. Coverage is food, beverage and nutraceutical products — not machinery, textiles or general merchandise. For each record you can see the Korean importer, the product, the item type, the overseas manufacturer, the country of origin and the export country.
